I wound up at the Birch Aquarium at Scripps today, and it was quite delightful.

Here I am at the info desk. I mean, you have to know what you're viewing!

The Aquarium has a splashingly good fountain out front. It appears to be quite the popular picture spot.

Wheee, a ride on a whale's tail!

Oh, getting artsy, are we?

I believe this is the kelp tank. Look at that shark! By golly, it could eat me in one bite!

Fascinating. Do fish taste like ants?

Oh jolly good, they have binoculars!

Quite the view point.

Alas, I saw no whales. Or tails. Or dolphins.

But while I was there, I took an existential moment to ponder the waves.

Here's a tide pool, with all sorts of crawly things. Hmm, how does one get through the net? There must be ants in there.

I've been drafted into helping out at this office, here, while the boss is away in Panama. Jolly good view, but I just sit and look pretty all day!

I've been liberated from my captors up in the great Orangey north. They made me sit on a bed for weeks! Weeks! What's an anteater to do?

However, I've been rescued now, and can continue my travels and travails.

First though, I should check my fanmail.

For Christmas, I got some anteater-sized mittens, as well as these handy Starbucks gifts cards, that kept the mittens' shape perfectly until I was ready to wear them! I'm styling now.

While I was in Santa Fe, I ventured up to the mountains for a little snowplay. It was ridiculously cold. Fortunately, I found some anteater sized mittens.
